Into the Dark: A Shadow Work Journal for Women Who Are Ready to See Themselves Whole
The shadow is not the enemy. It is the part of you that has been waiting to be loved back into the light.
Into the Dark is a trauma-informed shadow work journal written by Shuriee Gioieni, LMFT — for women who are ready to stop running from the parts of themselves they were taught to hide, and instead meet them with curiosity, compassion, and the kind of honesty that changes everything.
This is shadow work as it was meant to be practiced: not as darkness tourism, but as the most radical form of self-acceptance there is.
WHAT'S INSIDE — 6 PHASES OF HEALING:
🌑 Phase 1 — Meeting the Shadow What the shadow is and how it formed. A somatic practice to sense it in the body. Mapping the parts you were taught to hide.
🌑 Phase 2 — The Exiled Parts Projection and the mirror. The six most commonly exiled emotions and where they show up sideways in your life. A somatic breathing practice to meet the exile directly.
🌑 Phase 3 — The Inner Critic Where the critic came from and what it is protecting. Three skills: the two-chair technique, the compassionate witness, and naming it to soften it. A body-based armor-softening practice.
🌑 Phase 4 — The Golden Shadow The gifts hidden in the dark — your power, creativity, and wildness. The admiration inventory. A six-pose yoga sequence for embodying wholeness. Reclaiming what was told was "too much."
🌑 Phase 5 — Patterns & Wounds How the shadow drives relationship patterns. The pattern pause skill. Reparenting the pattern. A somatic nervous system release practice.
🌑 Phase 6 — Integration A ceremony of return. Eight affirmations for the integrated self. A letter directly to your shadow. Final reflection: who are you, all of you?
THIS JOURNAL INCLUDES: ✔ Jungian shadow work grounded in trauma-informed therapy ✔ IFS (Internal Family Systems) skills and concepts ✔ Somatic practices in every phase ✔ A full yoga sequence for embodying wholeness ✔ The projection mirror exercise ✔ The two-chair technique for the inner critic ✔ 8 integration affirmations ✔ Deep journal prompts with generous writing space ✔ Two extra blank pages
WHO THIS IS FOR: Women who feel like something is running their life that they can't quite name. Women who keep repeating patterns they don't understand. Women who react more intensely than the situation seems to call for. Women who are deeply self-aware but feel stuck. Women ready for the most honest kind of self-exploration. Anyone who has ever thought: there's more to me than this.
HOW IT WORKS: This is a digital download. After purchase, you will receive an instant PDF to print at home or use on a tablet. No physical item will be shipped.
FROM THE THERAPIST:"Shadow work is the most misunderstood kind of healing. It is not about sitting in darkness. It is about finally having the courage to turn toward yourself — all of yourself — and say: I see you. You are welcome here." — Shuriee Gioieni, LMFT | Healing Roads Therapy
