What If You Could Heal in Days — Not Years?

Therapy intensives offer something traditional weekly sessions can't always provide — extended, uninterrupted time to go deep. If you're ready to stop circling and start truly moving through it, an intensive might be exactly what your healing has been waiting for.

What Is a Therapy Intensive?

A therapy intensive is a 1 to 3-day immersive experience where we dedicate several focused hours to your healing — rather than meeting for 50 minutes once a week.

Think of it this way: in a traditional weekly session, we often spend the first few minutes settling in, and the last few minutes wrapping up. That leaves maybe 30–35 minutes in the middle for the actual work. In an intensive, we have the full container — time to go deeper, stay longer in what's opening up, and let the healing actually land before we stop.

It's not about pushing harder. It's about having enough time and space for your nervous system to do what it's been trying to do.

Intensives are available as:

  • EMDR Intensives — for trauma, anxiety, PTSD, painful memories, and attachment wounds

  • Somatic Intensives — for nervous system healing, body-based trauma release, and reconnection to yourself

  • Couples Intensives — for emotional repair, rebuilding trust, and finding your way back to each other

Each intensive is customized entirely around you — your history, your goals, your pace. Nothing about it is one-size-fits-all.

Is an Intensive Right for You?

Intensives work beautifully for people who are ready to go deep — and who want or need something different from the slow rhythm of weekly therapy.

You might be a good fit if:

  • You've been in therapy for a while and feel like you're circling the same things

  • You want to make significant progress but your schedule makes weekly sessions hard to sustain

  • You're going through a major life transition and need more support than weekly therapy can offer

  • You're a professional, parent, or caregiver with limited bandwidth — and you want to make the most of the time you have

  • You're healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, or a painful relationship experience

  • You feel stuck, disconnected from yourself, or like something important is just out of reach

  • You prefer immersive, focused healing to gradual weekly work

  • You and your partner are in crisis or at a turning point and need dedicated space to repair

Intensives aren't about rushing your healing — they're about giving it room to breathe. If any of this resonates, I'd love to talk with you about whether an intensive is the right next step.

Why Choose an Intensive Over Weekly Therapy

Weekly therapy is valuable and it has its place. But there are things an intensive can offer that 50 minutes a week simply can't.

REASON 1

You get to stay in it. In weekly sessions, we often reach something meaningful and then have to stop — and spend the next session finding our way back. In an intensive, we have time to follow what opens up, stay with it, and let it move all the way through.

REASON 2

Your nervous system gets time to settle. Trauma healing happens in layers, and your nervous system needs time to process between those layers. Extended sessions allow for that natural rhythm — we work, we integrate, we breathe, and then we go deeper.

REASON 3

Everything is tailored to you. Before your intensive begins, we spend time getting clear on your goals, your history, and what you most need. The experience is built around you — not a generic protocol.

REASON 4

Progress that doesn't disappear. Because we have time to integrate what shifts, clients often leave an intensive feeling genuinely different — not just temporarily lighter, but with real tools and a real shift they can carry forward.

REASON 5

It fits your real life. You don't have to rearrange your whole schedule to heal. Many clients travel in for a weekend intensive, or complete one online, and return to their lives with something that would have taken months in weekly therapy.

How I Work With You

Every intensive I offer is rooted in the same foundation: you are safe here, you are in control, and we never go faster than your nervous system can hold.

My approach draws from:

Trauma-informed, attachment-based care — everything we do is grounded in safety and relationship

  • EMDR — for reprocessing trauma, painful memories, and stuck emotional patterns

  • Somatic therapy — helping your body release what your mind has been trying to manage alone

  • Nervous system regulation — building your capacity to feel, process, and integrate

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — for couples work and attachment healing

  • IFS-informed parts work — honoring the different parts of you that hold different pieces of your story

Before the intensive begins, we spend time in a pre-intensive session getting to know each other, clarifying your goals, and building the safety and tools you'll need. During our days together, we check in constantly — I'm tracking how you're doing, not just what we're covering. And we always close with integration, so you leave feeling grounded, not unfinished.

Take-home tools are part of every intensive. What you learn and what shifts doesn't stay in the room — it comes with you.

What Clients Often Experience After an Intensive

Every person's experience is different. But here's what I hear most often from clients after we've done this work together:

  • A sense of lightness — like something they'd been carrying for years finally put down

  • Decreased trauma symptoms, anxiety, and emotional reactivity

  • More stability, groundedness, and trust in themselves

  • A stronger, clearer connection to who they are

  • For couples: more ease, openness, and genuine closeness with each other

  • Better communication — not just new skills, but a new way of being in relationship

  • Real tools they can use long after the intensive ends

Healing at this depth is real. I've witnessed it happen — in people who arrived feeling hopeless about change — and it still moves me every time.
